Every release, in plain words. The download button always
serves the newest version; updates are free for version 1 — just download again and
replace the app.

Multi-drive sessions
- Recording different tracks to different drives (Pro Tools' disk allocation,
and similar routing in other DAWs) now works fully: detection no longer loses
the session — a bug that had been lurking since 1.0 and surfaced the moment a
real two-drive session was tried — and the disk readout shows one line per
drive, each with its own remaining-time estimate.
- Every disk line now leads with the volume's name, single drive included —
a quick memo of which drive you're writing to.
- Piece names are recognized across drives, and now also for the very first
piece of a session when four or more tracks share the prefix — no rename
history required.

Disk space and remaining recording time
- The window now shows free space on the recording volume and an estimate of
how long it lasts — measured from how fast your session actually writes, so it
reflects your real track count and format, not a guess. Most DAWs don't show
this anywhere; now the couch can see it too.
- Honest by design: the estimate appears only after the first recorded pass,
and it deliberately rounds down to whole hours ("over 9 h") while you have
plenty — minute precision at that range would be false confidence. Below two
hours, when it starts to matter, it gets precise. Details and limitations in
the docs, as always.
- Cosmetics: the licensee's name is now bold in the window's corner and shown
in the About panel.

Piece names for numbered tracks
- Piece names are now recognized when tracks are named only by number
("Mozart_01" … "Mozart_15") — the most natural naming of all, and the one 1.4
missed. Section and mic-pair names ("Violin 1/2", "Piano close/room") are still
never mistaken for pieces: the app now tells them apart by time, since sections
record together and pieces never overlap.
- Piece detection reads the session folder's whole naming history, so it works
no matter where your edit cursor happens to be. Thanks again to the working
sessions that keep sharpening this.

Piece names, and a steadier idle readout
- When engineers prepend a piece name to their track names ("WSZY_VOX",
"O_ZMR_PFTE" — a common field workflow when one session holds several pieces),
the piece is now recognized and shown above the take number, the way REAPER's
recording tag is. Cautious by design: naming like "Violin 1/Violin 2" or
"Gtr L/R" is never mistaken for a piece, and when in doubt the project name
shows instead.
- Fixed the idle "last take / next take" readout wandering to wrong numbers
in long multi-piece Pro Tools sessions — it could follow the edit cursor
instead of the last recorded pass. Found in a real five-piece session; thanks
to the engineer who reported it.

Ardour and Harrison Mixbus
- Two new DAWs — Ardour and Harrison Mixbus — bringing the family to twelve.
All of Ardour's naming options ("prefix take name", "prefix track number", both,
or neither) are understood automatically, split-stereo recordings included.
- The floating window reliably comes back while a take is still rolling, and
it opens correctly above full-screen apps from the first moment.

Window fixes
- "Show Floating Window" in the menu bar now re-enables the moment you close
the window — previously it could stay greyed out during a long take.
- Fixed the floating window occasionally refusing to hover above full-screen
DAWs after a relaunch.

Ventura and Intel
- Runs on macOS 13 (Ventura) and later — 2017-era studio iMacs welcome.
- The download is now a universal binary: one 0.8 MB app for Apple silicon
and Intel alike.
- See the take number above full-screen Logic (or any full-screen DAW) — new
"float over full screen" preference, on by default.
- 1.2.1 finalized the licensing keys: licenses bought in the store are
permanent and verify entirely offline.

Four more DAWs
- Added LUNA, Bitwig Studio, Tracktion Waveform, and Studio Pro — ten DAWs
supported, every one verified against a real recording session.
- 1.1.1 fixed a phantom "one take too many" with Studio Pro and a case where
REAPER's counter went momentarily blank mid-recording.
1.0
august 9, 2026
First public release
- The take number, huge and unmissable: always-on-top window in Paper and
Poster styles (Poster floods red while recording), menu bar readout, live Dock
icon.
- REAPER, Logic Pro, Pro Tools (playlist-per-take aware), Nuendo, Cubase, and
Ableton Live.
- Remote display for any phone or tablet on the studio network, and a local
JSON API for overlays and tally lights.
- 7-day full trial; licenses are small offline files that work on air-gapped
machines.
