The app

Take Counter runs entirely on your Mac. It has no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, and no update phone-home. It never transmits anything, anywhere. Licenses are verified offline. The optional remote display serves the take number and project/piece names only to devices on your own network, only while you have it enabled. The diagnostics report is only ever copied to your clipboard by you.

Purchases

Licenses are sold through FastSpring as the merchant of record: your order, payment details, and invoicing are handled by FastSpring under FastSpring's privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, and order ID — the data needed to issue your license — and retain them so we can reissue your license and honor support requests. We do not receive your payment details. EU consumers' statutory rights, including withdrawal, are handled through FastSpring's checkout and order process.

Support

If you email us, we process your message and email address in order to answer you, and keep the correspondence only as long as the conversation needs. Order, billing, and refund questions are handled by FastSpring's own customer support under FastSpring's privacy policy.

This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process technical request data (such as IP addresses) in server logs as necessary to operate the service.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, and erase personal data we hold about you (for most customers: name, email, order ID), and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to — erasing your order record also removes our ability to reissue your license, so we'll confirm before deleting.
